Thanksgiving
So I know Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas is upon us but I wanted to make note of a couple of things from Thanksgiving day. We started the day off at my parent's house eating a wonderful meal, as always. I think my mom is one of the best cooks I know. The table lacked nothing and neither did my stomach....stuffed ! All of my siblings were present except Ryan and Kristin and their 3 little boys. Hopefully next year they will be able to come and every year after that. It was fun to see all of the little kids playing together...it seems like yesterday that I was one of the little kids running around and stuffing my face with rolls and pumpkin pie. After the feast we rested, much needed, and then my mom, Carilynn and I went to the movies. We saw four Christmases, I would not recommend it. All in all it was a great Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for.

A DAY AT THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE
So today has been one terrible day! It all started with Ryan waking up even sicker than she was yesterday. Her cough moved from a dry one to a very mucousy rough one and her nose, well it hasn't stopped running all day. So I made an appointment to go see Dr. Garcia at the Foothills Pediatric office at 11:30 this morning thinking I would be home before Ryan's nap at around 1:00 and what time did I get home? 3:00, THAT'S RIGHT! I was waiting to be seen for 2 hours which I was totally not prepared for, my own fault. I didn't have any snacks, toys or books. Nothing seemed to entertain Ryan except for a little comb I happened to have in my purse and a tiny piece of gum. After two hours of being in the waiting room with a ton of other sick kids one of which had pink eye and another who had the flu we finally were called back. Ryan was tested for RSV which she HAS and she had a fever so they had to do a breathing treatment on her and give her some tylenol. we'll have to continue to do the treatments for two weeks. She is completely miserable and I feel so bad for her. Anyway, to top it off we don't have insurance at the moment, once again I'm partly to blame, so with the office visit, machine which I now own and prescriptions it was a pretty pricey appointment. Luckily McDonald's was across the street so I headed over there thinking that Ryan would love a kids meal with apple juice, her favorite, she wouldn't eat anything and spilled the juice all over herself! Should I go on? I know I'm going off but it has just been a really bad day and to top all of that off I'm the one that ended up eating her whole kid's meal! LET THE HOLIDAYS BEGIN!

Lunch with friends
So Amy, Jill, Emily and I went to lunch today, it was a lot of fun. We were able to catch up and reminisce about old times, some of which were dye jobs and haircuts gone wrong, cheating and getting caught (I won't mention who), old boyfriends, having babies and the hedge. We also had a slight math lesson at the end when waitress wanted us to figure out our own bills, it was hilarious. So we thought it would be fun to do it again around the Holidays when some of our other former classmates are in town. So if any of you old friends are interested in going out to eat let me know because we're going to plan it for November or December. Anyway, today was great, girls I had a blast.
So Amy is, I think, 6 and 1/2 months along and she looks great! I think I looked like this when I was about 2 1/2 months pregnant.

Multitasking
So today Ryan learned how to multitask. She was brushing her teeth, watching t.v. and pushing her popper all at the same time, so talented. Actually, the only reason she had her tooth brush was because every time I brush them she throws a fit so when I'm done she gets to hold it and everyone is happy, the t.v. was on because I had to distract her while I got dressed and did dishes and the popper, well that's one of the only toys she likes at the moment even though she has plenty. So even though she wasn't really multitasking she sure looked cute trying.
